The Southwest Detroit Immigrant and Refugee Center is the largest provider of free and low-cost legal services to Southeast Michigan's vulnerable communities. Our home is in Detroit's Southwest neighborhood, but we also have legal services centers in Pontiac and Detroit's Eastside. We are working for a Southeast Michigan where justice does not depend on how much money you have and where immigrants are welcomed into our communities.
Free Legal Support
Our three legal support centers are the front door to all of our services. All legal needs are welcome and services provided at the centers are mostly free of charge.

Support our Work
Everyone deserves justice, regardless of how much money they have access to. All donations go to ensure that no one is turned away from getting the critical legal help they need because they can't pay. Your help is needed here.

Volunteer for Justice
The work we do at the legal centers is only possible because of our dedicated team of volunteers! We always need help from attorneys, legal students, translators, or researchers to assist our clients.
