Rosa is an undocumented mother of six receiving immigration-related legal assistance from one of our partners concerned about her safety. From her earliest childhood, Rosa has overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles and survived extreme abuse at the hands of caregivers and partners.
At the moment Rosa doesn’t have enough money for first and
SWIRC is one of several small organizations coming together to help Rosa and her children. Getting her a new start in a safe location away from her abuser’s influence will be an important next step. We need to raise $2500 very quickly in order to help her find safety and the possibility of a better future.
The Southwest Detroit Immigrant and Refugee Center provides free and low-cost legal services to those who need them most in the Detroit area, with a focus on recent immigrants and refugees.
